BIT Text Books are available at several book shops. GPA and Optional Courses
A minimum D grade is required for a chosen course to fulfil the degree criteria. Due to the GPA system a candidate needs to take only 3 optional courses for the 3rd Year to fulfil the 30 credit requirement. Note that project (12 credits) and the two Semester 5 compulsory courses add up to 20 credits. If you have sat for 2 optional courses in Semester 5 it is adequate to sit only for one more optional course in Semester 6. For those who sit for more than that the best 3 grades among all 3rd Year optional courses will be considered for the calculation of the GPA. However, your transcript will show all the grades for which you had applied for. Same rule applies for Year 2 as well. i.e. If you sit for more than 4 optional courses the best 4 grades among all Year 2 optional courses will be considered for the calculation of the GPA.
